James K. "Jimmy" White III
As the General Partner/Owner of Urban Story Ventures, James “Jimmy” White III brings more than a decade of real estate experience to oversee, direct and lead all aspects of the company. Through his years in the industry, White has successfully negotiated and aided in the procurement of hundreds of millions of dollars in acquisitions.
White began his real estate career as a broker in South Florida working for the Sheehan Realty Corporation from 2005 to 2007. During his time in South Florida, White worked with production builders to find development projects and brokered numerous commercial acquisitions. Since 2007, White has effectively handled negotiations and acquisition agreements for several multi-strategy hedge funds across the Southeast. Additionally, White has placed equity in real estate transactions for high-net-worth individuals and family trusts.
He is a Chattanooga resident and native, and he graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2002. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and was a member of the University’s golf team.
Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer of Urban Story Ventures, Jill Allen oversees construction, leasing and property management. She is both passionate about organizational structure and inspired by company culture.
Her diverse background developing and implementing systems in the hospitality industry provides her the ability to work with a broad spectrum of entities and individuals. From owning a catering and events business to, most recently, serving as Director of Operations for DJ Ent, she is well versed in copious facets of business.
Allen’s inquisitive nature, resourcefulness and pragmatic approach to business breathes fresh air into commercial real estate and development.
Allen graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2004 with a degree in mass communication and sociology. She is also a graduate of Leadership Chattanooga (class of 2020) and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200), instructing weekly at Yoga Landing. Allen currently lives on Lookout Mountain with her husband, daughter and catahoula hound.

Nicole Willis brings a wealth of experience to her position as property manager of Urban Story Ventures’ downtown portfolio. Her professional background is in the areas of hospitality, event planning and service management, which allows her to excel in her position.
Willis’ commitment to excellence and problem solving abilities make her a valuable part of the team. Her crucial role as property manager includes a broad scope of duties ranging from tenant relations to supervising areas of administration and maintenance for the downtown portfolio.
She is known for having sharp communication skills and being warm, gracious and competent in her approach.
Hilary Heinrich, CPA, MFM
Chief Financial Officer
Hilary joined the team in early 2017, bringing her private accounting experience and extensive organizational skills to the table. As Chief Financial Officer at Urban Story Ventures, she manages all day to day accounting tasks and heads strategic, long-term financial planning. Her oversight and management of operational budgets of over $150M in assets is crucial to our organizational success. Hilary’s good nature and ability to problem solve makes our relationships with banks, vendors and other outside entities a pleasure. With a Masters in Financial Management from Southern Adventist University and Certified Public Accountant license, she ensures accuracy and efficiency in all her endeavors. When not dealing with the piles of paper that reside in her office she enjoys playing with her dog Kymber and working in the garden.

Chief of Staff
Starting with the company (known as DEW, LLC at the time) in 2015, Audrey has been on an educational and transformational journey as part of the development team. Her involvement in the acquisition process of what now makes up Urban Story Ventures has been critical to the company’s past and ongoing projects. A genuine curiosity and willingness to learn have spurred Audrey’s growth. As Chief of Staff, she is responsible for handling employee programs including development, training and other key human resources for our team. Audrey specializes in the betterment and progression of her co-workers, their work environment and the company culture. The dedication to employee and company growth creates a domino effect within our office walls.

Senior Property Manager, Midtown Office Park
Jerry is the property manager for all real estate entities, and as such, is in charge of all capital budgeting and the competitive bidding for outside services. With more than 28 years of experience in the industry, she covers it all from interior finish design to capital budgeting. She oversees a dedicated staff of nine who take considerable pride in the properties. The average tenure of our maintenance team is more than 25 years.
Jerry's philosophy is to take care of existing tenants so they will never want to go anywhere else. She defines service as the gift of identifying the needs of others and doing whatever it takes to meet those needs. Also, she enjoys creating happy, clean and beautiful work places for the tenants. This is very evident as she and her team are one of the reasons Urban Story Ventures has such tremendous customer loyalty and retention. They pride themselves on excellent customer service and attention to detail.
Michael W. Fullam
Agent/Broker for Urban Story Ventures, LLC
Michael began working in real estate in 1986 as an assistant mall manager for CBL & Associates. He earned his Commercial Shopping Manager (CSM) designation in 1999 from the International Council of Shopping Centers, a designation attained by only 30 percent of shopping center managers.
Since that time, he has worked as a corporate director responsible for management, leasing and operations as well as an independent realtor focused on commercial property. Michael joined Luken Holdings in 2013 and was responsible for leasing 2.5 million square feet of office, retail and industrial real estate.
Today Michael is responsible for leasing Midtown Office Park and outside listings.
In his own words: "The thing that I love most about my job is helping people find the right location and assisting them in establishing their business at a new location. It is not a sales job, but rather is like a consulting job. My experience in real estate gives me the ability to understand the customer's needs and ask them the right questions in order to put them in a building that will be perfect for their business. Seeing them happy and even them calling me when they need to expand or relocate is very rewarding."
Megan Freeman joined our team in December 2017 and has enhanced our leasing division of the company. As Leasing Coordinator, Megan brings a diverse background to the roles of her position. Her years of experience in customer service and the restaurant industry has contributed to her success in sales and providing care and competence to our tenants. Generating lease leads, following up with tenants throughout the process, acting as a liaison between various parties while documenting all internal and external details are key components to Megan's responsibilities. Attaining her Bachelors in Communications in 2016 and Real Estate License in 2020, they have both deepened her passion for the importance of communication in Real Estate.
In her own words, "My role helps businesses identify the right spaces to showcase their stories. Whether it is restructuring the lease or tearing down walls, we will help build a place for you to thrive. Communication is one of my best skills, therefore nothing will go unanswered or uncared for." Helping tenants find their perfect work home and getting to know their business is both exhilarating and rewarding for Megan, as she can put her talents to use. Megan is excited to be a part of Urban Story Ventures as it continues to grow.
Marketing and Design Specialist
Abby Stevenson brings a bright and energizing presence to the Urban Story team. Coming to Chattanooga for school in 2014, Abby quickly fell in love with the city and the inspiring professionals, artists and innovators within it. An affinity for problem solving and leadership propelled her into invaluable internships and professional development opportunities. During that time she provided creative content to local organizations and implemented streamlined management processes for area businesses. Abby is a lifelong student whose goal is to acquire as many professional and life skills as possible. To her, every experience can be translated into knowledge.
As the marketing and design specialist for Urban Story Ventures, Abby brainstorms and develops innovative marketing strategies and campaigns, monitors the succes of marketing projects, captures dynamic photography, designs engaging marketing materials, and crafts a strong brand identity for the company.
In her own words “I’m very passionate about marketing and design. This role is perfect for me because it allows me to combine two things that I love to form a uniquely holistic approach to creating brand awareness, marketing spaces and developing effective strategies. I feel honored to be a part of a company that deeply values its city, employees, and tenants.”
Personal: traveler, artist, runner and nature lover. Can be spotted in downtown Chattanooga sipping coffee, reading or walking her border collie, Waffle.
Hands-on and detail oriented, Darlene Harvey brings a standard of excellence to her position as Facilities Manager of our largest industrial property. Her degree in Computerized Accounting and Business Management (4.0 GPA, to boot) provide her additional skills to accomplish complex projects with efficiency and creativity. Darlene is a personable and reliable member of the Urban Story Ventures team, managing a wide range of projects and contractors, while documenting everything in detail. She was an instrumental part of the massive renovation of the Alstom Turbine manufacturing facility in 2009 and has been with the property since, making her a valuable asset to our team as we seek to redevelop surrounding sites.

A certified HVAC technician with an education in Industrial Maintenance, Stacey brings a strong working knowledge to his role as Property Manager of our largest industrial property, West End. Impressively, he continues the educational journey by actively pursuing his B.S. in Business Management at WGU. His extensive background with the former GE Turbo Machines plant in Chattanooga give our team an advantage as we plan for the redevelopment of our 100+-acre industrial site. He greets the challenge of managing both large and tedious projects with a positive attitude and “big picture” approach. Urban Story Ventures is blessed by Stacey’s wisdom, integrity and skill set.

Rebecca started with Urban Story Ventures as an intern in the accounting department in early 2019. After completing her Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting, she joined the team as a full time Accountant. Her duties include managing the bookkeeping process for specific entities and aiding the accounting department in various tasks and projects. Working at Urban Story gives her the opportunity to relish in her love of numbers and organizing, as well as putting her love for the city of Chattanooga into action.
In her own words, “Sometimes working as an accountant can get monotonous because a lot of what we do is similar from day to day. I love that this is not true of working at Urban Story Ventures. Every day here is new and exciting! I am so grateful to be a part of a team of such dedicated and amazing individuals.”

Katie Bixby serves as Office Manager for our Urban Story Ventures team. Katie began as a part time employee in January of 2019, but we soon realized what an asset she is and onboard her to a full time position with us later that year! Katie excels in time sensitive tasks and is prepared to tackle anything thrown her way!
Chief Legal Officer
As Chief Legal Officer, Brad is responsible for all aspects of Urban Story Ventures’ legal affairs. Brad advises on legal considerations in business activities while working to get every transaction across the finish line. His areas of expertise include real estate and banking law.
Brad has overseen hundreds of millions of dollars in transactions. Before coming to Urban Story Ventures, Brad spent years working successfully at one of the largest and respected commercial development firms in the country. Brad started his career with the largest law firm in Arkansas. With his diverse background, Brad adds a wealth of knowledge to the Urban Story Ventures’ team and provides a unique perspective that draws on both business and legal experience. Brad connects people naturally and is an integrated thinker when it comes to developing strategies.
Brad and his wife, Kim decided to relocate back to Kim’s hometown of Chattanooga after seeing the amazing growth of downtown a few years ago. They live on Signal Mountain with their two daughters and two dogs. Brad enjoys golf, travel, and finding great restaurants.
Brad graduated from Arkansas State University with a B.A. in Philosophy before obtaining his law degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Brad also has a master’s degree in Conflict Management from Lipscomb University.
